Custom Private tours Iceland is our focus at BR Tours. We are all Icelandic travel experts and we are a small group of local tour guides. The Company is a licensed Travel Agency, authorized by the Icelandic Tourist Board since 2006. BR Tours has an excellent reputation regarding the quality of their services.
BR Tours offers various high-quality adventure tours to foreign visitors in Iceland and is specialized in private tours for small groups. Most of our tours are tailor-made to suit individual requirements and specific interests, as well as different budgets. We provide suitable vehicles and experienced and knowledgeable local driver guides, speaking English, German and Scandinavian languages. Our aim is that our clients experience and enjoy the unique nature of Iceland and at the same time learn about our colorful history as well as past and present culture.
Upon request, we will assist you in preparing the itinerary for your tour and submit a quotation. We can also book accommodation for you but need to know the standard and type of rooms required and we can include meals in our quotation if you wish.
Please tell us when you plan to arrive, how long you will be staying, the number of participants in your group. Also please inform us if there are any special requirements or interests which we should take into consideration when preparing the itinerary.
We will also include various options of activities in the itinerary and quotation, according to your instructions. Please refer to the list of activities available on this webpage and let us know what would be of interest. Please note that we can almost offer any type of private tour, from difficult hiking tours staying in tents or mountain cabins to comfortable hotel tours which require minimal physical activities.
Our philosophy is to preserve the environment and the unique nature of Iceland and our travel arrangements and behavior support that philosophy. Our proposals do usually include some time for hiking, depending on the individual interests and the physical condition of the participants.
Jon BR Tours – Private Guide
BR tours is owned by Jon Fridgeir Thorisson and his family, he certified travel guide from the University of Iceland. We work with a small selection of our best local guides.
Jon is 49 years old, a local Icelander, born and raised in Iceland. After finishing high school in Reykjavik he went to Germany for undergraduate and graduate study in Business administration. He is well-traveled in Europe, North and South America, and Southeast Asia. He speaks Icelandic, English, German, basic Spanish, and Danish.
All our guides are certificated local guides from Iceland. We are a small group of experienced guides.
