Day Tours from Reykjavik: Most popular are:
a) „Golden Circle“ Tour, including Thingvellir National Park and historical site, The spouting hot springs Geysir and Strokkur, the Golden Waterfall „Gullfoss“, Skalholt, Kerid volcanic crater and Hveragerdi „the greenhouse village“. This tour can also include a visit to the Glacier Langjokull and a snowmobile tour or an ATV tour.
b) Tour of the South Cost of Iceland, next to Volcano Eyjafjallajokull, including a visit to waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss, the black sand beach and rock formations at Reynisfjara and a visit to the Glacier Solheimajokull. Also possible visit to remote nature reserve Thorsmork and the Folk Museum at Skogar.
c) Tour of the Snaefellsjokull Peninsula and the Snaefellsjokull glacier. Including the rock formations at Arnarstapi, Hellnar and Djupalonssandur, villages Hellisandur, Rif, Olafsvik, Grundarfjordur and Stykkisholmur. Possible visit to the musem and shark processing farm at Bjarnrhofn and boat tour from Stykkisholmur.

3 – 5 day tours of the south of Iceland.
This can include same as day tours a) and b) above plus the area around the biggest glacier the Vatnajokull such as the Glacial Lagoon (including a boat tour on the lagoon), Skaftafell National Park, Glacier Walk, Bird paradise Ingolfshofdi. We can also extend this tour into the interior highland and visit places like Eldgja (the Fire Gorge), colorful Landmannalaugar, Volcano Hekla and Thjorsardalur. It is also possible to add one day for a visit to the Vestman Islands, inspect the volcanos, rich bird life and take a boat tour around the Islands.
3 – 6 day tours of the North
This tour can start with day tours c) and/or d) above and then proceed to the north through Skagafjordur district, Akureyri the capital of the north, Husavik the whale watching centre, Lake Myvatn and Krafla geothermal area, Dettifoss the most powerful waterfall in Europe and many other interesting and beautiful places. It is also possible to extend this tour to the remote and huge caldera Askja and travel back through interior highland tracks.
1 – 2 weeks Circular tour of Iceland
This tour can include everything mentioned above, but with different emphasis, depending on interests, duration, time of year and type of vehicle. But the main addition will be the Eastern part of Iceland with deep fjords, fishing villages and spectacular landscape. It is also possible to include some more remote places such as the arctic island Grimsey, the Langanes or Melrakkasletta peninsulas.
The Vestfjords are very beautiful and rather remote part of the country. It can be done as a special tour of 4 – 8 days, but can also be added to a circular tour. The very remote and uninhabited part Hornstrandir is reachable only by boat and is a ideal area for serious hikers.
